SOUTHPAW Joe “Jaw Breaker” Noynay of Bogo, Cebu suffered a knockout loss in a rematch with Liam Wilson for the WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight title last March 3 at the Nissan Arena in Nathan, Australia.

The 26-year-old Noynay already lost earlier when he missed the weight so the title was not on the line for him.

Noynay was 138 pounds, 8 pounds heavier while Wilson was only 129. Noynay was making his fourth title defense.

In the third title defense, Noynay scored a technical knockout in the 5th round against Wilson last July 7, 2021 at Newcastle Entertainment Centre in Newcastle.

The Elorde International Productions commented thru Facebook:

“Joe Noynay fails to repeat the result over the rematch. But we will take this setback as a set up for a greater comeback.
Thank you No Limit Boxing for the opportunity. And we are looking forward to more fights in the future.”

The promoters of the fight were Matt Rose and George Rose of the No Limit Promotions.
