ORTHODOX Vincent “Asero” Astrolabio of General Santos City tipped the scales at 117.1 lbs while Guillermo “El Chacal The Jackal” Rigondeaux of Cuba weighed-in at 117.8 lbs in today’s (Feb. 25) weigh-in in Dubai.
Astrolabio and Rigondeaux, former WBA and WBO world super bantamweight champion, are fighting for the World Boxing Council (WBC) International bantamweight title on February 26 at The Lawn in Emirates Gulf Club.
Meanwhile, former Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation champion Mark John “The Journey Man” Yap of Cagayan de Oro weighed-in at 129.7 pounds while undefeated Jadier Herrera of Cuba tipped the scales at 127.7 in the main-supporting bout.
They will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Asia super featherweight title.
Phucan An Nguyen of Peoples Fighters is the promoter while Mary Jean Cubcuban is the inspector.
