UNDEFEATED Michael Casama of Matalan, North Cotabato will fight veteran Jaime Barcelona of Valencia City, Bukidnon on February 26 at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

The 26-year-old Casama has won seven fights all by knockout. But he has no moniker yet.

“It's not there yet, because I'm just new,” said Casama.

Casama has sparred with super featherweights Presco “The Iceman” Carcosia (10-1-1, 9KOs) and undefeated Ian Sampan (4-0, 4KOs).

He said that he has no problem with his weight now.

“I got 126 lbs. already,” said Casama.

In his last fight, Casama retired Joe Tejones of Valencia in the 2nd round of a 10-rounder on October 29, 2021 at Sanman Gym.

Casama earlier stopped Vergel “The Hammer” Deguma of General Santos City in the 1st round last November 21, 2020 at Sanman.

Casama said that he will learn a lot from Barcelona.

“Good fight for me because he has a lot of experience. I can fight and also learn a lot in this fight,” he said.

“It’s a good fight because my opponent is a veteran,” said Casama.

Barcelona has a ring record of 42 wins, 66 losses, 1 draw and 10 knockouts.

The 45-year-old lost to China's Jianhao Diao by a technical knockout in the 2nd round last October 27, 2019 at TSSG Center in Qingdao, China.

But he earlier won against former WBC International silver super featherweight champion Eden Sonsona by a split decision last August 31, 2019 in Siargao.

The boxing event dubbed as "Sanman Bubble VIII" is promoted by Sanman Promotions headed by its president Jean Claude "JC" Manangquil.
