Toyogon to fight Tejones Today in Ilocos Sur

ORTHODOX Al “Rock” Toyogon of Gingoog City will fight Joe Tejones of Valencia City on February 12 at the Elorde Boxing Gym in Quirino Stadium, Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

The 24-year-old Toyogon recently scored a technical knockout against Lloyd Jardeliza of Marikina in the 2nd round last December 4. 2021 at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.

Tejones, on the other hand, suffered two straight loses last year. He first got a 5th round knockout from undefeated Carl Jammes Martin of Ifugao last February 20, 2021 in Binan City.

The 25-year-old southpaw Tejones was then retired in the 2nd round by Michael Casama last October 29 at Sanman Gym in General Santos City.

Tejones has 13 wins with seven knockouts against nine loses while Toyogon has 11 wins with seven knockouts against six loses and one draw.

Meanwhile, lightweight Jules Victoriano (10-4-0, 7KOs) takes on Dave Barlas (5-3-1, 3KOs) in the main supporting bout.

The other 8-rounders are light flyweight Melvin Manangquil (7-6-4, 1KO) against Reymark Alicaba (6-2-0, 5KOs) and bantamweight Aljum Pelesio (9-1-0, 5KOs) against Fernan Agencia (6-1-0, 2KOs).

Cucuy Elorde of UKC Pro Boxing Edition is the promoter.
