Mama to fight Vicelles on July 3 in Mandaue

DAVAO CITY – Undefeated Jerven ‘Iron Fist’ Mama of Gen. Santos City will fight World Boxing Council no. 7 contender Mark ‘Thunder’ Vicelles of Sultan Kudarat on July 3 at IPI Tingub Gym in Mandaue City.
It is the co-main event between Pete ‘Thunder’ Apolicar of Makati and Jess Rhey ‘Wanman’ Wahimal of Bukidnon for the OPBF Silver featherweight championship.
The 24-year-old Mama (12W-0L-1D, 7KOs) recently scored a unanimous decision to Arnold Garde of Davao City last Feb. 29, 2020 in Gensan.
Mama will also be fighting an undefeated boxer with a record of 13 wins and with seven knockouts and one draw.
“Wala ko nahadlok sa iyaha (I’m not afraid of him),” said Mama.
“I will show my best to win my fight.”
Mama has also a twin brother and a boxer Jayson (16W-0L-0D, 9KOs). He had two 10 rounds of sparring already.
He will be leaving for Cebu together with trainer Paul Apolinario and boxer Jhunrick Carcedo (6W-1L, 6KOs), who will take on undefeated Carlo Bacaro (8W-0L, 6KOs) of Cebu.
