Almacen, Gamboa off to South Africa

DAVAO CITY – Former WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver minimumweight champion Jonathan “Pretty Boy” Almacen of Muntinlupa and his trainer former WBA champion Joma “Koizumi” Gamboa had left the country for South Africa last Sunday.
The 21-year-old Almacen will fight against former world champion Hekkie “The Hexecutioner” Budler of South Africa for the WBA Super International light flyweight title on May 22 at the Booyens Gym in South Africa.
The problem of their visas was solved by Brico Santig, owner of Highland Boxing Gym.
