Martin will finally fight Saulong on May 29

DAVAO CITY – Undefeated Carl Jammes “Wonder Boy” Martin (17W-0L-0D, 15KOs) of Ifugao will finally fight on May 29 at the Tanaw de Rizal in Laguna.
He will take on Ernesto “Chocolate” Saulong of Mindoro Occidental as a replacement for the injured Philippine super bantamweight champion Mark Anthony “El Heneral” Geraldo of Bukidnon.
The Games and Amusements Board has approved it.
“Tuloy tuloy na ito talaga (It really goes on and on)”, said lady boxing promoter Yolly Alfante of Shock Punch Boxing Promotion.
Alfante is promoting this bubble boxing event together with Tanaw de Rizal Mayor Vener Munoz and Vice Mayor Antonino Aurelio and Pablo Garcia.
“Nag bigay na kami ng cash advance, wait lang namin sa GAB (We have already given a cash advance, we just wait for GAB),” said Alfante.
The 21-year-old Martin recently scored a 5th round knockout over Joe Tejones of Valencia City on Feb. 20, 2021 in Binan City.
Saulong (22W-7L-2D, 9KOs), on the other hand, has recently lost by unanimous decision to Criztian Pitt Laurente of Gen. Santos City last March 20, 2021 in Binan City.
