Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and Juan Francisco Estrada will be meeting this Saturday night on March 13, in the main event on DAZN from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

* * *

Nine years have past since Chocolatito (50-2, 41 KOs) defeated Estrada (41-3, 28 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision in November 17, 2012 at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

* * *

It was Estrada's first fight outside his native Mexico. The 22-year-old Estrada then proved to be a more formidable challenger than expected, although he lost by unanimous decision, 112-116, 112–116, 110–118, to the future Ring magazine number one pound-for-pound fighter of the world.

* * *

This time, Juan Estrada will have his WBA super flyweight title at stake against WBC champion Chocolatito Gonzalez of Managua, Nicaragua.

* * *

The winner will have to defend his title against WBC mandatory challenger Srisaket Sor Rungvisai (49-5-1, 41 KOs) next, when the Thai wins his fight this Saturday night against countryman Ekkawit Songnui (50-7-1, 27 KOs).

* * *

Fans are eager to see if the 33-year-old Chocolatito has still more of his stinging punches and gas in his tank left. Many thought that Gonzalez is now quite the different boxer that outpointed Estrada in 2012.

* * *

The 30-year-old Estrada, many observed, still fights much the same as he fought when he lost to Chocolatito in their first encounter, but he might still be at risk to Gonzalez's non-stop attacks.

* * *

After consecutive defeats against Srisaket Sor Rungvisai in 2017, by unanimous decision in the first fight and by 4th round KO in the rematch, several fans thought that Chocolatito was already going downhill. But he recovered after undergoing knee surgery, and had a great performance in his last four fights.

* * *

He was very impressive in winning his last four bouts against Mexican Israel Gonzalez by unanimous decision, British Khalid Yafai by 9th round TKO, Filipino Diomel Diocos by 2nd round TKO, and Mexican Moises Fuentes by 5th round KO.

* * *

However, these fighters could not approximate the kind of boxing talent Estrada has. That makes the fight with Chocolatito more interesting for the fans to see how he can handle the guns of El Gallo this coming Saturday.

* * *

Estrada is still distressed about the defeat during the first match, because he believes he won the fight, but the judges decided otherwise. Gonzalez was unleashing a barrage of combinations of four to six punches nonstop from start to finish, with Estrada throwing only single blows.

* * *

Estrada was amazing in his last fight defeating former WBC super flyweight champion Carlos Cuadras of Mexico by an 11th round TKO last October 23, 2020. Cuadras fought as if he was on a decline.

* * *

Since losing to Rungvisai in 2018, Estrada has collected five consecutive wins against Mexican Felipe Orucuta by unanimous decision, Mexican Victor Mendez by 8th round TKO, Thai Rungvusai by unanimous decision in a rematch, American Dewayne Beamon by unanimous decision, and Cuadras.

Team LeBron won the 2021 All-Star Game by score of 170-150 over Team Durant. Giannis Antetokounmpo, was selected as the MVP, as he led all scores with 35 points on 16-of-16 shooting. But the superb shooting of Stephen Curry and Damian Lillard made the game more impressive.

* * *

The two shooters both converted 8-of-16 shooting from behind the three-point arc, and the pair sank several shots from the half-court for Team LeBron.

* * *

Bradley Beal and Kyrie Irving combined for 50 points to lead Team Durant, but their efforts were not enough to overcome the opposition.

* * *

Giannis Antetokounmpo was named the 2021 NBA All-Star Game MVP. He had 35 points, 13 of 13 field goals, 3 of 3 point shots, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.

In the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Domantas Sabonis of Indiana Pacers won the final phase against Nikola Vucevic of Orlando Magic.

* * *

Steph Curry of Golden State Warriors was the 3-Point Contest champion. He shot a high 31 points in the first round, before hitting his final basket tallying 28 in the exciting final round to beat Mike Conley of the Utah Jazz, who finished with 27.

* * *

Anfernee Simons of Portland Trailblazers wins the Slam Dunk Contest with an attempt to kiss on the ring. He just backed out before landing his lips on the hoop, but was able to get the nod of the judges.

* * *

For the past four years, LeBron James served as a captain of one of the two competing All-Star teams. The result have so far been perfect as the teams who James captained are now 4-0 in the All-Star Game, coinciding with his four NBA titles.

The first ancient Olympics was held on 776 BC. They continued to be played when Greece were under Roman rule, until emperor Theodosius I, who was converted to Christianity, banned pagan festivals. He banned the Olympics in AD 394 as part of his mandate to impose Christianity as the State religion of Rome.
