Taduran tips at 104, Cuarto at 105

DAVAO CITY – Pedro Taduran Jr. tipped at 104 lbs. while Rene Mark Cuarto scaled at 105 lbs. during Friday’s final weigh-in for today’s International Boxing Federation World minimimweight championship fight at the Bula Gym at Gen. Santos City.

“OK naman po. Ready na po (It's OK. Ready),” said Taduran, who will be making his second title defense.

Taduran (14W-2L-1D, 11 KOs) doesn’t think of a knockout win but he will just go with the flow of the fight.

“Hindi ko po yan masasabi pero gagawin ko po lahat ng aking makakaya (I can't say that but I will do my best),” said Taduran.

“Okay naman po magandang laban po yan bukas (It's okay, it's a good fight tomorrow),” said Taduran.

Cuarto (18W-2L-2D, 11 KOs), on the other hand said that he is ready too.

“Ok lang ako (I'm Okay),” said Cuarto.

Cuarto said: “Dili ko ma ingun nga naay ma KO ugma pero sure ko nga nindot jud ang among dula duha (I can't say I have KO tomorrow but I'm sure our game will be great)”.

Both ate a “bulalo” to give them strength.

The supporting events are: former Philippine welterweight champion Jayar “Hitman” Inson (18W-3L-0D, 12KOs) of Davao City fights Jose "The Bomber" Ocampo (20W-13L-1D, 13KOs) of Sarangani;

former Philippine flyweight champion Genisis “Cobra” Libranza of Cabadbaran City will take on ex-WBO Oriental super flyweight title-holder John Mark “Iceman” Apolinario of Sarangani;

Orlie “D’ Kalibre” Silvestre of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat will fight again Bonjun Loperez of Davao City;

World Boxing Organization Oriental bantamweight champion Vincent “Asero” Astrolabio of Gen. Santos City will fight Jerry Pabilla of Cotabato;

Undefeated Lienard “Triggerman” Sarcon (7W-0L, 2KOs) of Gen. Santos City will fight Mark Glen Antaran of Sarangani.

The bubble boxing event is promoted by Sen. Manny Pacquiao of MP Promotions.
