WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford says "I’ll never ask for Spence fight again" to Fighthype Saturday night. It seems he was a little disgusted over recent developments related to his boxing career. His promoter Bob Arum announced that he had preliminary talks with Shawn Porter’s father Kenny Porter about setting up a fight for the spring.

Arum also disclosed that former eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2, 39 KOs) is also one of the options as Crawford's next opponent and the fight with the Filipino icon is the one that has a greater chance of happening. With those two great options revealed, Crawford (37-0, 27 KOs) mellowed down his pursuit of a unification fight with the unbeaten IBF/WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence (27-0, 21 KOs).

The Omaha, Nebraska now has several options to choose from. He will no longer be fighting mediocre foes and has-beens. So he doesn’t care anymore about the much-sought Spence match-up. “I don’t need that fight; I’m not worried about that fight,” said Crawford. "I’m not worried about that fight. I done told y’all numerous times now, I’m not even worried about that fight. You will never see me asking for that fight ever again,” added Crawford in claiming he will never seek a unification match against Spence again. “If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, I don’t care."

An encounter with Porter may not be as lucrative as the fight with Pacquiao match, but it could still become the biggest money earning bout of the undefeated Crawford. Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) is good at marketing fights than Crawford, a fighter who is not full of excitement. The WBO champ prefers Pacquiao over Porter but will be preparing for either opponent. “I prefer the Manny Pacquiao fight over Shawn Porter. Shawn Porter is a great fight in his own right, and I’m going to be ready for whichever one comes to fruition."

“Both of them have got their own strong points,” added Crawford about Porter and Pacquiao. “Manny Pacquiao is fast-moving and can punch. Shawn Porter is aggressive, tough, durable. I can’t say what he [Porter] will try to do. I can’t say what he will or wouldn’t do."

Shawn Porter, age 33 years, from Cleveland, Ohio, is a former two-time world welterweight champion, being IBF titlist from 2013 to 2014 and the WBC title holder from 2018 to 2019. He is ranked as the world's No. 6 welterweight by BoxRec, No. 4 by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and No. 5 by The Ring magazine.

Manny Pacquiao, now age 42 years, is the only boxer in history to win 12 major world titles in eight different weight divisions. He is ranked as the world's No. 7 pound-for-pound by BoxRec and is also ranked as the world's No. 3 welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board (TBRB), ESPN, The Ring, and BoxRec.
