Donnie Nietes, Rey Bautista, Z Gorres, AJ Banal, Milan Milendo, and a host of warriors from the famed ALA Gym have voiced their full support to the upcoming battle of national icon Manny Pacquiao against reigning WBC super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez on Mar 16 (Philippine time) at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer credited Paquiao for opening up the door to world boxing for Filipino boxers.

?The resurgence of boxing interest among Filipinos and the world?s respect for Filipino boxers, all these came about because there had been once a Manny Pacquiao who showed the world that Filipinos are warriors to reckon with,? Aldeguer said.

Pacquiao has always been like a big brother to the ALA Boys, especially during those times when they trained together at the world-famous Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach.

Pacquiao had himself voiced out support to some ALA fighters during their big fights, most recently when he supported Z Gorres in his bout against Vic Darchinyan. The boxing icon had also supported the fighters at the recent World Cup in Sacramento, California won by the Filipinos over their Mexican counterparts, 5-1.
