HBO´s Game of Thrones Star to debut in professional boxing

Icelandic actor Haftor Björnsson, best known for his role as Grigor Clegane or Mountain on HBO's Game of Thrones, will be making his professional boxing debut in an exhibition match against Britain's Steven Ward (13-1, 4 KOS) on January 16 in Iceland as published on his Instagram.
Björnsson hopes that entering the ring with a professional boxer will help him demonstrate not only what he already knows, but also what he has to worked on. Björnsson is also a weightlifter and in May 2020 he beat the world record for deadlifts by lifting a 501 kilogram bar at his gym in Iceland.
Björnsson began his sports career in basketball and has been in the ring with UFC star Conor McGregor.
