World Boxing Council (WBC) superfeatherweight king Juan Manuel 'Dinamita' Marquez planed into Los Angeles yesterday looking supremely confident and ready to rumble against boxing icon Manny Pacquiao when they cross paths on March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

According to LA sources, Marquez touched down on a Mexicana Airlines flight from Mexico at the Los Angeles International Airport at around 4:41PM and came out to meet supporters at 5:20PM.

The world boxing champion was accompanied by his trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain and advisor Jaime Quintana.

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer and his vice-president Eric Gomez were at the airport to meet Marquez and company, while a Mariachi band played for the arriving group at the reception area.

A group of young fans, carrying placard that says "PACMAN GAME OVER" were also at the airport to welcome their boxing idol.

GBP media relations executive Ramiro Gonzalez were also on hand to meet the group, as well as a crew of Philippine television station GMA-7.

Abner Mares, who will fight Diosdado Gabi on the undercard, also came with the group.

"Whoever has the most heart would win.. I'm here to defend my title. That's why I train hard for this fight," Marquez was quoted as saying.

Trainer Beristain, when asked as to Marquez' readiness to take on the iconic Pacquiao, stated: "Lets watch and see.. we do the necessary things to beat Pacquiao, and Marquez is motivated to bring back the lost glory to mexico."

Meanwhile, Pacquiao came in at a sizzling 133 lbs yesterday during the WBC-mandated seven-day weigh-in, dispeling rumors that Pacquiao is having problems with his wieght.

Pacquiao is slated to take a day off today and will attend a press conference on Monday with Juan Manuel Marquez at the Olvera Street area in downtown Los Angeles. He will then work out at the Wild Card Gym for the last time after the press con, and then drive to Las Vegas.
