DAVAO CITY – “Magic” Mike Plania, who recently won against American Joshua Greer Jr. will arrive today July 9 in General Santos City via Cebu.

Plania arrived from Miami, Florida in Cebu two days ago and stayed at the Waterfront Hotel for a quarantine.

“Nakuha na niya ang swab test today (July 8),” said Plania’s manager JC Manangquil.

The 23-year Plania will stay at their house at Mabuhay Subdivision in Gensan.

He will discuss with Manangquil his next plan upon his arrival.

Plania pulled off the upset via two huge knockdowns to beat Greer by a majority decision at The Bubble, MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Plania first knocked down Greer in the first round. Plania, who used his vicious lead left hand, downed Greer again in the 6th round.

Plania, who improved his record to 24 wins with 12 knockouts against one loss was the first Filipino who had participated in a sporting event since the lockdown began because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
