Manny Pacquiao explained to a reporter when asked where his boxing namesake ?Pacman? originated from. He said that ?Pac? came from the first three letters of his last name while ?Man? came from the first three letters of his first name.

However, with the way Manny is putting his opponents into submission, losses and worst subjecting them into retirement, ?Pacman? could have been originated from the electronic computer game ?Pac-Man? wherein a monster eating circular disc with a missing segment devours other icons that comes into its path while eluding attacks as it travels into a maze as it scores more points for the player.

?Pacman? the boxer is a classic like Pac-Man the game. Like the game, Manny the ?Pacman? will be around for the long haul. He will be tested by most boxers in the course of his pursuit of history, as the game will be tested for its popularity by other games that are invented and will be invented. But since they both carry with them the charisma and the insurmountable and unexplained joy to their spectators, they will always have loyal followings which will no doubt bring them to the pinnacle of their well being and their very existence.

Ask any fan of Fernando Poe, Jr., he might tell you that he prefers to call Manny as ?Bagsik Kamao.? Fernando Poe, Jr., a legendary Filipino actor, whose punching speed in all his movies catapult him as King of Filipino action movies and whose fighting style in the movies could have been copied by Manny Pacquiao into the ring of the Real McCoy.

Ask any fan of Bruce Lee, the legendary Hongkong and Hollywood actor, he might tell you that he prefers to call Manny as ?The Fist of Fury.? Every time Manny is in the offensive you will see the Bruce Lee in him, moving forward at will, all muscles and abs and no sign of fear, like a dragon, breathing with fire.

After the Pacman has beaten ?El Terrible? and ?Baby Faced Assassin? with his ?Bagsik Kamao? with the twin ?Fist of Fury,? any Mexican fan might prefer to call him, ?El Rapido? because of the speed in which he will throw his punches and the accuracy that hit their marks.

Pacman, ?Bagsik Kamao,? Fist of Fury, or ?El Rapido? or whatever name you choose to call him is still the same great boxer of today, the Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines and the pride and joy of the Filipinos all over the world. All will be one in witnessing history in the making on March 15, 2008 at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas when he will fight one of the great Mexican fighters of his time, Juan Manuel ?Dinamita? Marquez for the WBC Super Featherweight Title. The boxing extravaganza billed as ?Unfinished Business? or Marquez-Pacquiao II is promoted by the Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, in association with Romanza Boxing Productions and MP Promotions. It will also be telecast live by HBO pay-per-view beginning 6 p.m., pacific time. The Dynamite against the Pacman, it will be an explosion waiting to happen and you will devour it as a boxing fan for a long time.
