Boracay Island, Philippines – Luka Doncic became Dallas’ franchise leader in career triple-doubles, as he registered 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 assists, to go along with 1 block and 1 steal and propel the Mavericks to a 127-123 overtime victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Kristaps Porzingis was a perfect complement to Doncic’s all-around brilliance, as he added a game-high 34 markers, 12 boards, 3 dimes, and 5 blocks for the Mavericks, who improved to 38 wins against 25 losses, which is good for 7th place in the Western Conference team standings.

Lonzo Ball led the way for the Pelicans, stuffing the stats sheet with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. He also found his range connecting on 9 of his 19 field goal attempts, including 7-for-11 from deep. Brandon Ingram and rookie sensation Zion Williamson added 27 and 21, respectively for the Pelicans, who dropped to a 26-36 win-loss card, for 12th spot in the Western Conference team standings.

P.S. Here’s a shout out to my former colleague, good friend, and brother in Christ, Architect Perpetuo “Dodong” Arambala, who is celebrating his golden birthday today. Bro Dodong, as humble, as simple, and as down-to-earth as he is, topped the Architecture Board Exams when he took it not so long ago. He is currently the Corporate Architect and an esteemed member of the Executive Committee of Alturas Group of Companies. He and his beautiful wife Ritzel “Etching” Arambala are franchisees of Body and Sole Spa and Ystilo Salon outlets in Tagbilaran City. Bro Dodong is a budding songwriter and a brilliant guitar player, as their only son Yammy is as well. Cheers to more years of prosperity and good health, Bro Dodong! Happy Birthday and God bless!
