
Sales beats Singh to capture ABF middleweight title

DAVAO CITY -- Southpaw Mark "The Slam Man" Sales of Gen. Santos City defeated Indian Prabhjot Singh by a unanimous decision to capture the vacant Asian Boxing Federation middleweight title last Feb. 15 at the Manila Arena in Sta. Ana, Manila.
The 38-year old Sales, who was a late substitute for Nelson Gulpe of Surigao del Sur had more telling blows and punches than Singh.
It was Sales' 23rd victory against 43 defeat and five draw while Singh suffered his 5th defeat against his 8th win and one draw.
Meanwhile, minimumweight Jayson Vayson of Agusan del Sur remained undefeated with a knockout victory over Geboi Mansalayao of Davao del Sur in the 3rd round.
Vayson posted his 9th win and the 5th knockout against one draw while Mansalayao suffered his 31st defeat against 12 win and five draw.
The boxing promoter were Brico Santig of Highland International Boxing Promotion, Liu Gang of Max Power Promotions and Darwin Miller Depay of DMAD Boxing Promotion.
