Kimura TKOs Sabillo in the 2nd round

DAVAO CITY -- Former world champion Sho Kimura of Japan scored a 2nd round technical knockout on Merlito "Tiger" Sabillo of Bacolod last Feb. 15 at the Manila Arena in Sta. Ana, Manila.

It was the 12th knockout and the 19th victory by Kimura against the three defeat and two draw while Sabillo suffered his 8th defeat against 27 win and one draw.

Kimura earlier suffered a unanimous decision loss to Carlos Canizales of Venezuela in China last May 26 to the WBA World light flyweight title.

Meanwhile, Hee Jung Yuh of South Korea retained her WBC International female super flyweight title by a TKO over Kanyamat Chotchun of Thailand in the 6th round.

The 40-year old Yuh scored her 12th victory and the 23th victory against three defeat while Chotchun suffered her second defeat against two victory.

The boxing promoters were Brico Santig of Highland International Boxing Promotions, Liu Gang of Max Power Promotions and Darwin Miller Depay of DMAD Boxing Promotion.
