Buenaobra to fight ex-world champ Higa on Feb. 13 in Japan

DAVAO CITY -- Southpaw Jason "Manefisto" Buenaobra of Sorsogon City will battle former World Boxing Council World flyweight champion Daigo Higa of Japan on Feb. 13 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

The 25-year old Buenaobra (7W-4L-3D, 3KO) recently lost to Joseph Ambo of Pangasinan in a vacant Philippine Boxing Federation bantamweight title last March 13 in Tayug.

Higa (15W-1L-0D, 15KO), on the other hand lost for the first time to Cristofer "El Latigo" Rosales of Nicaragua in a title match last April 2018 in Japan.

Higa never fought in 2019.

Meanwhile, undefeated Shuichiro Yoshino (11W-0L, 9KO) will fight Izuki Tomioka (7W-2L-1D, 2KO) for the Japanese lightweight title.
