Suarez TKOs Barlas in the 3rd round

DAVAO CITY -- Undefeated Charly "King's Warrior" Suarez of Davao del Norte knocked out in the 3rd round Dave "Triggerman" Barlas of Gen. Santos Santos to keep his Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MinProBA) super featherweight title last Feb. 7 at San Domingo in Ilocos Sur.
It was Suarez's four straight win and knockout victory while Barlas suffered only his second defeat against five win and one draw.
Meanwhile, super lightweight Argie Toquero of Zamboanga del Norte scored a 3rd round knockoutv over Jimmy Borbon of Roxas City in the under card.
The other results: Bievenido Ligas def. Joan Imperial by a 3rd round knockout; John Mark Tihuk won by a split decision over Ranelio Quizo.
The boxing promoter is Cucoy Elorde of the UKC Pro Boxing Edition.
