Boracay Island, Philippines – In a battle between two of the league’s worst teams, thus far, this season, the New York Knicks eked out a 139-134 overtime victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time) at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.

Elfrid Payton returned from a one-game suspension to post a triple-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 15 assists, while committing only a single turnover in 33 minutes of action. Marcus Morris, Sr. and Julius Randle added 26 and 20, respectively for the Knicks, who improved to 15 wins and 36 losses, but remained at the bottom three on the Eastern Conference team standings.

Kevin Love, the subject of several trade rumors, erupted for 33 markers, to go with 13 boards and 6 dimes for Cleveland. Collin Sexton added 29 points for the Cavaliers, who dropped to a 13-38 win-loss card, and are now tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the last place in the Eastern Conference team standings.
