NBA Daily: Spurs Beat Heat in Texas 107-102

Boracay Island, Philippines – The San Antonio Spurs have shown once again that they have what it takes to take on the league’s top teams as they eked out a 107-102 victory over the Miami Heat on Sunday night (Monday morning, Philippine time) at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge, two players Miami is rumoured to be interested in a possible trade, showed the way for San Antonio with 21 and 20, respectively. DeRozan also had 9 rebounds and 9 assists.

Patty Mills scored 18 points off the bench for the Spurs, who logged its 18th victory against 23 defeats for 9th spot of the Western Conference team standings.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 21 markers, 16 boards, and 6 dimes. Goran Dragic added 19 points off the bench. Kendrick Nunn and Jimmy Butler had 18 and 16, respectively, for Miami, who dropped to a 29-13 win-loss card, but stayed at 2nd place in the Eastern Conference team standings.

Up next for the Heat are the Sacramento Kings in Miami on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time).

Meanwhile, the Spurs will travel to Phoenix, Arizona to face the Suns on the same night.
