Saludar is Boxer of the Month for December 2019

Saludar drops Kinaadman.

DAVAO CITY -- Minimum fighter Victorio "Vicious" Saludar of Polomolok, South Cotabato is the Boxer of the Month for December 2019 of the Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MinProBA).
The 29-year old Saludar earned the prestigious award for his knockout of Mike Kinaadman of Iligan in the 6th round last Dec. 21 at the Enan Chiong Activity Center in Naga City, Cebu.

Saludar now has 11 knockouts with 20 wins against four loses.
He is a former World Boxing Organization World minimumweight champion. Saludar lost his WBO World minimumweight title to Wilfredo Mendez of Puerto Rico by a unanimous decision last Aug. 24 in Puerto Rico.

He won the world title by an upset victory over defending champion Ryuya Yamanaka of Japan last July 13, 2018 in Kobe, Japan.

Saludar successfully defended the title by a unanimous decision over Masataka Taniguchi of Japan last Feb. 26 in Korakuen Hall, Japan.
