
Loreto to challenge Shigeoka for WBO Asia Pacific minimum title

Loreto.
DAVAO CITY -- Former world champion Rey "Hitman" Loreto of Davao City will challenge World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific minimumweight champion Ginjiro Shigeoka of Japan on Dec. 31 at Ota-City General Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
Both fighters are southpaws.
The 29-year old Loreto (25W-14L-0D, 17KO) recently TKO'd Songkan Meechai of Thailand in the 1st round last May 19 in Bang Phli, Thailand.
Shigeoka, on the other hand, knockout Clyde Azarcon of Davao City in the 1st round to win vacant WBO Asia Pacific minimumweight title last July 27 in Korakuen Hall.
He is undefeated with four wins with no loss or draw.
Meanwhile, super bantamweight Jhunriel "Principe Abante" Ramonal (16W-8L-6D, 9KO) of Laguna will fight Yusaku Kusa (19W-3L-1D, 13KO) of Japan for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific super bantamweight title in the double main event.
