Abu Bakar to fight Khan for IBO Oceania on Dec. 21

UNDEFEATED Aiman "AB" Abu bakar of Malaysia will fight Asad Asif Khan of India for the International Boxing Organization Oceania featherweight title on Dec. 21 at the New Manila Cockpit Arena in Santa Ana, Manila.

Khan, on the other hand, has never been defeated but drawn since 2016.

In 2019, the 26-year old Khan (8W-2L-1D, 2KO) has won already four times with one knockout against Askar Nurmakhanbetov of India in the 3rd round in India.

He followed it up with a majority decision on Gurjant Singh of India on March 30 then a unanimous decision on Chirayot Phothidet of Thailand last April 24 in Bangkok.

Khan finally beat Nasoro Madimba of Tanzania by a unanimous decision last Sept. 13 in Dubai.

The 27-year old Abu bakar (9W-0L-0D, 4KO) recently TKO'd Wilford Wade of Iligan in the 3rd round last Oct. 6 in Bacoor, Cavite.

"This is chance that I have been waiting for," said Abu bakar told Fightnews Asia.

"I will try my best to win," he added.
