Ex-WBO world champ Saludar to fight for ABF minimum title

DAVAO CITY -- Former World Boxing Organization world minimumweight champion Victorio "Vicious" Saludar of Polomolok will fight Mike Kinaadman of Iligan for the Asian Boxing Federation minimumweight title on Dec. 21 at the Enan Chiong Activity Center in Naga City.

The 29-year old Saludar (19W-4L-0D,10KO) recently defended his world title but lost to Wilfredo Mendez of Puerto Rico by a unanimous decision last Aug. 24 in Puerto Rico.

Saludar earlier won the WBO world minimumweight title over Ryuya Yamanaka of Japan by unanimous decision last July 13, 2018 in Kobe.

Saludar then defended successfully the title against Masataka Taniguchi of Japan via a unanimous decision last Feb. 26 in Korakuen Hall, Japan.

Kinaadman, on the other hand has seven wins against 12 defeats and two draws.

The 23-year old orthodox fighter won against Ryan Ralozo of Cagayan de Oro by a technical knockout in the 2nd round last Sept. 6 in Bohol.

Kinaadman, however lost recently against Jerry Tomogdan of Bukidnon by a unanimous decision last Oct. 17 in Bukidnon.
The boxing promoters are Kenneth Rontal of Champion Boxing Development and Naris Singwancha.
