
Chavez to fight for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific super lightweight title Dec. 2

DAVAO CITY -- Orthodox Jheritz "Goodboy" Chavez of Cebu will fight undefeated Koki Inoue of Japan for the vacant World Boxing Organization Asia Pacific super lightweight title on Dec. 2 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The 28-year old Chavez recently retained his Philippine crown by retirement over Junar Adante of Surigao in the 3rd round last May 4 at Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
Chavez, however earlier lost to Rikki Naito of Japan by a majority decision in losing the OPBF super lightweight title last May 15, 2018 in Japan.
Inoue, on the other hand, has won 14 wins with 11 knockouts.
The southpaw retained his Japanese super lightweight title by a TKO over Ryuji Ikede in the 5th round last July 1 in Korakuen Hall.
The boxing promoter is Hideyuki Ohashi of Ohashi Promotions.
