Boracay Island, Philippines – November seems to be unfortunate for Boston. Earlier this month, they lost Gordon Hayward to a fractured left hand. This time around, top scorer Kemba Walker was wheeled on a gurney off the court, after colliding with teammate Semi Ojeleye late in the second quarter of their 96-92 loss to the Nuggets on Friday night (Saturday morning, Philippine time) at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
Walker was later diagnosed with concussion-like symptoms and was immediately brought to the hospital for further evaluation. He had three dimes and a couple of steals before the ill-fated incident.
Nikola Jokic led Denver with a triple double, finishing with 18 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists, to go along with 3 steals and 1 block. Jamal Murray added game-best 22 markers, 6 boards, 5 dimes, and 2 steals.
The Nuggets, who improved to 11 wins and 3 losses, will continue their four-game homestand to host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night (Monday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Celtics will travel home to host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time).
