Boracay Island, Philippines – Breakout sophomore guard Devonte’ Graham bounced back from a dismal 2-for-12 shooting from the rainbow territory the night before to wax hot with career high 9 threes, leading the Charlotte Hornets in edging the New York Knicks 103-102 on Saturday night (Sunday morning, Philippine time) at the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York City, NY.

What made it all so sweet for the 24-year-old 2nd round pick of the 2018 NBA Rookie Draft was that his ninth 3-pointer was the game-clinching shot to seal the victory for Charlotte.

That deciding three came off an assist from rookie forward PJ Washington, who also stuffed the stat sheet with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Terry Rozier also added 16 markers for the Hornets, who improved to 6 wins against 7 losses.

RJ Barrett, the third overall pick of the recent NBA Rookie Draft, led New York with 22 points. Sophomore center Mitchell Robinson had a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds off-the-bench for the Knicks, who absorbed their 10th loss in thirteen outings thus far this season.

New York will wrap up their three-game home stand against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time).

Meanwhile, the Hornets will travel to Toronto to face the defending champions on the same date.
