Boracay Island, Philippines – Trae Young shot 13-for-21 from the field, including 8-for-13 from deep, on the way to a season high 42 points to lead the Atlanta Hawks in annexing the Nuggets 125-121 on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning Philippine time) at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
He also collected 4 boards and dished out 11 dimes. Jabari Parker and Alex Len added 20 and 17 points, respectively for the Hawks, who improved to 4 wins and 6 losses.
Denver’s starting unit each had double-digit scoring, led by Will Barton’s 21 points. Nikola Jokic had 20, while Paul Milsap and Jamal Murray added 19 and 18 markers, respectively.
The Nuggets, who dropped to a 7-3 win-loss card, will travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on Thursday night (Friday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Hawks will fly home to host the Nets on the same date.
