Hard-hitting Vic "Raging Bull" Darchinyan of Australia has joined a long list of world-class fighters who has indicated his interest to train at the world-famous ALA Gym.

Dennis Canete, the ALA Gym's vice-president for promotions, informed in an interview yesterday that Darchinyan confided to him that he wants to train at the well-equipped training facility.

"He told me he would love to train at the ALA Gym," Canete stated.

Of course, that if the Aussie banger is not preparing for a fight against one of its adopted sons.

The ALA Gym is second home to Z "The Dream" Gorres, Darchinyan's opponent last Saturday with whom he figured in a well-chronicled split draw.

The gym is also training venue for the very talented world IBF and IBO flyweight king Nonito Donaire, whom Darchinyan wants to fight in a rematch of their first encounter won by the Fil-Am banger.

WBC flyweight king Daisuke Naito is also currently training at the ALA Gym in preparation for his fourth encounter with ex-champ Pongsaklek Wongjongkam.

Darchinyan, mentored by the very capable trainer Billy Hussein, gained the Filipinos' respect with his world-class power and heart following his 12-round encounter with Gorres last Saturday.

Team Darchinyan, headed by manager Elias Nasser, also showed class despite the fact that bottles of mineral water and coins were tossed starting in the first round by displeased fans who sensed that referee Lance Revill made a wrong call on Gorres.
