Boracay Island, Philippines – James Harden came one assist shy of a triple-double, scoring 42 points, including 9 three-pointers to go along with 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and 2 steals to lead the Houston Rockets past the Bulls at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois Saturday night (Sunday morning, Philippine time).
Russell Westbrook added 26 markers, while Clint Capela came up with a double-double of 16 points and 20 boards for the Rockets, who stretched their winning streak to 3 and improved their win-loss card to 6-3.
Chicago had contribution across the board, with seven players producing double-digit scoring, but had nobody who could match the Rockets’ firepower, as no Bulls player scored more than 13 points for the contest.
It also didn’t help that the Bulls shot a catastrophic 4-for-32 from deep, while the Rockets connected on 19 of their 44 attempts from the same distance.
The Bulls, who dropped to 3 wins and 7 losses, will host the New York Knicks on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Rockets will travel to New Orleans on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time) to face the Pelicans.
How they scored:
