NBA Daily: Harden Explodes for 44 to Propel Rockets Over Grizzlies 107-100

Boracay Island, Philippines – The Houston Rockets bounced back from a sorry loss to Miami the night before, to beat the slumping Memphis Grizzlies 107-100, Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time) at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.

Former league MVP James Harden exploded for 44 points on top of 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. He was also 7-for-16 from the rainbow territory.

Russell Westbrook, another former MVP, did not play for rest purposes. Clint Capela had a double-double of 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Rockets.

Rookie sensation Ja Morant had 23 markers, 5 boards, and 6 dimes for the Grizzlies, who dropped their 5th game in 6 outings, thus far this season.

The Rockets, who will next face the Golden State Warriors in Houston on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time), improved to 4-2 on the win-loss column.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will try to bounce back, as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on the same date.
