Boracay Island, Philippines – For the second straight game and third time thus far this season, the reigning Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic posted another triple-double to help the Mavericks in dispatching the Cavaliers 131-111 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, Sunday night (Monday morning, Philippine time).
Doncic finished with 29 points, 14 rebounds, and 15 assists to go along with 5 three-pointers and perfect 6-for-6 at the charity stripe. Kristaps Porzingis provided solid support with 18 markers that included 4 makes from the rainbow territory, 9 boards, 1 steal, and 6 blocks for the Mavericks, who stayed unbeaten on the road and improved to 4-2 on the win-loss column.
Kevin Love led Cleveland with 29 points to his name. Jordan Clarkson added 17 off-the-bench for the Cavaliers, who dropped to 2 wins and 4 losses.
The Mavericks will travel home to host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time).
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers will also host the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning, Philippine time).
