Kwong TKO De la Basez to win inter WBC ABC Silver featherweight title

DAVAO CITY -- Filipino Joel Kwong of San Juan City TKO'd Julio De la Basez of Indonesia in the 5th round to win in the interim WBC Asia Boxing Council Silver featherweight title last Oct. 26 at the Highland Gym in Udom Suksa School, Bangkok, Thailand.
Kwong, who is now a resident of Bangkok, Thailand won his 5th knockout against nine defeat.
The 26-year old Kwong scored his fourth straight win since 2017 in the super bantamweight division.
Meanwhile, orthodox Denise "Onesongchaigym" Castle of United Kingdom knockout Sutthinee Bamrungpao of Thailand in the 5th round.
It was the third knockout victory by Castle against the two setbacks while the 7th defeat by Bamrungpao against four wins.
The 48-year old Castle lost twice in a row before scoring that knockout win.
De la Basez, on the other hand suffered his 24th loss against 21 wins and eight draws.
