Jaylen Brown.
Boracay Island, Philippines – Jaylen Brown, Domantas Sabonis, Dejounte Murray, and Taurean Prince struck multi-year contract extension deals with their respective ball clubs before the deadline last Monday. Joe Ingles, meanwhile, added one year to his existing contract.
Boston Celtics Locks Jaylen Brown for 4 Years with a $115M-Deal
The 22-year-old forward and 3rd overall pick of the 2016 NBA Rookie Draft was a starter of Team USA that competed in the recent FIBA World Cup of Basketball in China. Brown is well known for his defensive versatility that perfectly complements his solid offensive skills endearing him to Celtics head coach Brad Stevens and GM Danny Ainge.
Domantas Sabonis Agrees to a $77-M Extension for 4 Years to Stay in Indiana
Sabonis, the 11th overall pick of the 2016 draft class, was picked by Orlando and was immediately traded to Oklahoma in a draft night deal. He was then shipped to Indiana a year later, as part of the blockbuster trade involving Paul George. He averaged a career best 14.1 ppg on a very efficient 59% field goal accuracy and 9.3 rpg for the Pacers last season.
Spurs Get Bargain, as Dejounte Murray Settles for a 4-Year, $64-M Extension

Dejounte Murray.
The 23-year-old defensive gem and 29th overall pick of the 2016 NBA Rookie Draft missed the entire 2018-2019 season due to an ACL tear he sustained during last year’s preseason. A year before that, he racked up 97 steals and 31 blocks to become the youngest player in NBA history to be selected into the All Defensive Team.
Taurean Prince Signs a 2-Year Extension Worth $29-M to Extend Contract with Nets
His impressive showing in the recent preseason games, where he averaged a team high 16.8 points, 3.3 boards, and 1.3 dimes may prompted the Brooklyn Nets front office to secure the services of the Baylor product for an additional two years. Prince averaged 13.5 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 2.1 apg last season for the Atlanta. He was traded to Brooklyn last June.
Utah Can’t Get Enough of Joe Ingles, Adds One More Year to His Contract for $14M
Ingles has become an integral part of the Jazz title hopes, averaging 12.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per game last season. This signing keeps him under contract through the 2021-2022 NBA season.
