Duno to fight undefeated Garcia Nov. 2

DAVAO CITY -- Romero "Ruthless" Duno of Gen. Santos City will fight undefeated Ryan "The Flash" Garcia of Los Angeles, California on Nov. 2 at the MGM Grand in Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

The 24-year old Duno retired Ivan Delgado of USA in the 7th round last Sept. 14 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

He earlier stopped Juan Antonio Rodriguez of Mexico in the 9th round to win the vacant World Boxing Organization NABO lightweight title last May 16 at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

Duno now has 21 wins with 16 knockouts and one loss.

Garcia, on the other hand is undefeated with 18 wins and with 15 knockouts.

The 21-year old Garcia retired Jose "Wonder Boy" Lopez of Puerto Rico in the 2nd round last March 30 in California.

In May 4, 2018, he won the vacant NABF super featherweight and vacant WBO NABO super featherweight titles by a unanimous decision over Jayson Velez of Puerto Rico in Carson.

Meanwhile, Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (34W-3L-1D, 29KO) of Russia will defend his title against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (52W-1L-2D, 35KO) of Mexico for WBO World light heavyweight title in the main event.

The promoters are Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions and Kathy Duva of Main Events.
