Las Vegas-based Tony Martin is scheduled to arrive in Cebu City this week straight from his lairs in Sin City to serve as cutman for Z "The Dream" Gorres when the latter tangles with the heavy-hitting Vic Darchinyan this Saturday at the world-class Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

"Once again I'm on my way to Cebu to act as the cut man for Z Gorres, and once again Tony (Aldeguer) and his son Michael have shown great faith in me, of which of course i will not let them down," Martin told Philboxing in a long-distance interview yesterday.

Martin had also served as Gorres' cutman when the sweet-punching Filipino battled WBO superfly champ Fernando Montiel last year.

"I am really happy to be working with Edito again, as we have a very good working relationship plus we have been good friends for many years, and he also has my respect of being a very good trainer," added Martin, who had lived in Cebu for several years before relocating to Las Vegas with his wife Yvonne and their beautiful children.

"I am hoping and praying that Z pulls this one off, as this boy really deserves to be a World Champion. I have Known Z for many years and watched him develop into a highly skilled and talented boxer. But for me his greatest talent is himself, humble, friendly, family man, who conducts himself in a truly professional manner at all times. He deserves the respect of every Filipino. A true Ambassador for the sport. Just like his manager Mr. Antonio Aldeguer," Martin stated.

While in Cebu, Martin is also slated to take a look at the new crop of talents at the famed ALA Gym.

Fans who wish to see the fight live can watch it via "live streaming" for a minimal fee courtesy of neTVision.com.ph.
