Servania wins vacant WBC Asia Boxing Council Youth super bantamweight title

DAVAO CITY -- Twenty-three year old Rolando "Momoy" Servania of Bacolod City landed pummeling blows to knock out Jerry Pabila of Cotabato City in the very first round to win the vacant World Boxing Council Asia Boxing Council Youth super bantamweight title last night (Sept. 5) at the Polomolok Gym in Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The undefeated Servania posted his 10th victory and the 4th knockout win while the 22-year old Pabila suffered his second loss against six wins and four knockouts.

Servania received a golden belt together with promoter Dexter Tan of Sanman Promotions.

Meanwhile, Judy Flores of Braulio E. Dujali and Garen Diagan of Gen. Santos City stopped separate opponents to win the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation titles.

The 20-year old Flores scored a unanimous decision on Jovanie Tagusi of Sarangani to win the vacant PBF super flyweight title.

Flores won his 8th victory to remain undefeated with 4 knockouts while Tagasi suffered his 3rd loss against six wins.
Diagon, on the other hand, scored an upset over Jerry Francisco of Antipas, North Cotabato by a technical decision in round 5 when Francisco suffered a nasty cut on the left eye to win the vacant PBF light flyweight title.

Diagon improved his record to 7 wins with 3 wins against 1 loss while Francisco suffered his first setback against 7 wins.

On the other hand, flyweight Jayson Mama of Gen. Santos City remained undefeated with his 14th win with a unanimous decision over Dexter Alimento of Cagayan de Oro City while lightweight John Vincent Moralde of Davao City knockout Jovany Rota of of Butuan in the 1st round. (Lito delos Reyes)
