If plans don't miscarry, expect at least two world champions to see action in one card on March 27 in Dubai to defend their world titles, plus the inclusion of some big names in Philippine boxing.
A very reliable source from Manila told this writer in an interview yesterday that boxing promoter Noli Eala, the former PBA Commissioner, is now working on putting up the grand event in the Arabian city where a good number of Filipinos reside.
"With one of the Philippine's biggest tv stations covering it, as well as an American cable company airing the fight back in the US, this event will be huge," said the source.
In the planned card, Donaire will be making the second defense of his IBF and IBO titles against Australia-based Hussein Hussein, who should be popular among Arabian fans.
The co-feature will showcase WBO miniflyweight champion Donnie Nietes defending his title for the first time against Colombian Daniel Reyes in another 12-round rumble.
Also being floated for possible inclusion is Bobby Pacquiao, who will take on another foreign foe.
Eala and the Third Force Promotions had put up the huge and successful "Payback" card recently at the Araneta Coliseum, and now Eala plans on staging this highly-awaited card.
