PRESS TOUR WILL BE IN NEW YORK AND LOS ANGELES ON MAY 20 & 21

GENERAL SANTOS CITY ? The Manny Pacquiao-Keith Thurman World Boxing Association Welterweight title fight will finally take place on July 20 in Las Vegas, but the exact venue is yet to be finalized.

?The final date of the fight was set on July 20. But we?re still finalizing the exact venue in Las Vegas,? Pacquiao?s lawyer Tom Falgui bared last night.

The press tour for the Pacquiao-Thurman ring date was initially slated on May 20 in New York City and May 21 in Los Angeles.

Pacquiao?s training camp will start right after the scheduled media tour.

Pacquiao has been busy doing his election duties, first, as campaign manager of the country?s ruling political party, the Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-LABAN), then as kingmaker of Sarangani and General Santos City.

Pacquiao is the founder and chair of the People?s Champ Movement (PCM), a local political party which served as his vehicle in capturing the lone congressional seat in Sarangani Province way back in 2010.

From then on, Pacquiao has gained total control of the local politics both in Gensan and Sarangani.

Despite of his hectic schedule, Pacquiao makes sure he has time to play basketball in the evening to stay fit and healthy.

?Even when i?m not on training, I play basketball everyday to maintain my speed and stamina. That is to ensure I?m always in good shape,? Pacquiao claimed.

Pacquiao bared he?s planning to start a light training ? jogging and stretching ? after the elections on Monday.

Formal training camp will commence after the scheduled US press tour.

?Some members of the training team are actively involved in politics so they will be available after the election. They were busy wooing the voters? support during the campaign period,? Pacquiao revealed.

One of those who tried his luck in politics is head coach Buboy Fernandez who is gunning for the vice mayoral post in his hometown in Pulangi, Albay.

Roger ?Haplas? Fernandez, Pacquiao?s most-trusted personal aide, had already arrived in Gensan last week to assist the Pinoy ring icon in his initial training routine.

The Pinoy ring legend together with some members of Team Pacquiao are set to fly out to Manila on the 16th then to Roxas city, Capiz, on the 18th to honor a commitment.

He and his entourage will leave Manila for New York on the 19th to attend in the scheduled press tour.
