NBA Playoffs: Spurs take 2-1 lead over Nuggets

BOHOL -- The San Antonio Spurs protected their home court with a 118-108 Game 3 victory over the Denver Nuggets Thursday night at AT&T Center.

The No.7 seed Spurs now hold a 2-1 lead over the No.2 Nuggets in this round one Western Conference series.

Sophomore guard Derrick White scored a career high 36 points, along with five boards, five dimes and three steals.

DeMar DeRozan complemented White?s superb play with a solid performance of his own, chipping in 25 points four rebounds and five assists. LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 while Rudy Gay finished with 11.

Nikola Jocic topscored for the Nuggets with 22, but Jamal Murray only had six points after scoring 24 in Denver's Game 2 victory. Game 4 is set this Saturday night (Sunday morning Philippine time) in San Antonio.
