CEBU CITY--The ALA Gym at the BTC held the slambang "ALA Gym Celebrity Boxing Match' to foster friendship among its members moments ago, where foods and drinks were aplenty after the matches for the Christmas party that followed.
Businessman Gerry Malixi, who works out at the ALA Gym and briefly coached by the renowned Nonito Donaire Sr, edged out Ervin Elemento in an exciting duel.
Malixi, who idolizes Floyd Mayweather Jr and Oscar De la Hoya, said it was a very tough match but gained his second win just in time against his younger and taller foe.
Other results: Luis Sebastian won over Lawrence Arguedo; Rommel Cortes won over Shaun Doherte, Jukka Halopainen won against Jonathan Verga, Richard Mercado prevailed over Ariel Gongon.
Lawyer Jesie Capoy won over Kiefer Villo; Chris "D Saint" Aliman won over Ruel Tariman; Mark Heigh won against Roger Camlon.
