LOS ANGELES ? Reigning World Boxing Association (WBA) Welterweight king Manny Pacquiao is now 100 percent ready to defend his crown on January 19 against the brash-talking challenger Adrien Broner.
?He?s now in peak condition. We have to reign him in to avoid burnout,? lead trainer Buboy Fernandez revealed.
Pacquiao sparred for 12 rounds against three different sparring partners Tuesday afternoon.
After the sparring, Pacquiao went on a four-round punch mitts with Fernandez before spending three minutes hitting the double-end bag then another three minutes pounding the speed bag.
Fernandez claimed Pacquiao will start tapering off on Wednesday.
?His punching power, speed and stamina remain the same. I should know because I was his lead trainer during the Matthysse fight,? Fernandez bared.
Last July 15, Pacquiao wrested the WBA Welterweight crown from Argentinian slugger Lucas Matthysse via a seventh round knockout during their title bout in Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Prior to the Matthysse fight, Pacquiao became the subject of ridicule and insult by many of his critics.
They belittled his skills. Some even labeled him a washed-out fighter.
This motivated Pacquiao to train harder. He proved the doubters and his critics wrong.
Four months after Pacquiao?s conquest of Matthysse, he?s back to another training camp to defend his crown.
The Pinoy ring legend decided to employ the services of his long-time trainer Freddie Roach, this time as supervising trainer.
The boxer-lawmaker also decided to tap the services of champion trainer Nonito ?Dodong? Donaire, Sr.
?I?m grateful to Sen. Pacquiao for giving me a rare chance to help him in his training. My intention is to help in my own humble way, not to ease out anybody from the team,? Donaire bared.
The current training camp renewed the bond among long-time training buddies ? Freddie Roach, Buboy Fernandez, Justin Fortune, Nonoy Neri and Roger ?Haplas? Fernandez.
For the whole duration of the training camp, Pacquiao can be seen in high spirits enjoying what he was doing amid the throes of rigorous training.
The Pinoy ring icon will wind up his training camp here on January 14 then proceed to Las Vegas for the final phase of his tapering off en route to day of the fight.
?I?m glad to be back in MGM Grand Garden Arena. My maiden fight in the US soil took place there in June 23,2001. That fight was my stepping stone to boxing superstardom,? Pacquiao said.
