NBA -- Heat burns Bulls, 103-96

CHICAGO -- Josh Richardson stepped up with 27 points on Friday night to fuel the Miami Heat to a 103-96 win over the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

Richardson was very efficient from the field, hitting 10-16 shooting. He converted five threes. Hassan Whiteside had 18 points and 10 rebounds while Bam Adebayo provided 14 points and 13 rebounds off the bench.

With the win, the Heat improved to 7-11. The Bulls dropped to 5-14 and will seek to reenter the win column with a victory over the Timberwolves in Minnesota.

After an evenly matched first quarter the Bulls were outscored 32-13 in quarter two and went down by 20 at halftime.. They clawed back to within four in the fourth quarter but Josh Richardson hit big shots down the road to keep the door shut tight on the knocking Bulls.

Justin Holiday led the way for the Bulls with a season high of 27 along with a career-high of 13 rebounds. Jabari Parker kept up his solid play with 23 points and 10 boards. And Zach Lavine added 24 points and 9 assists.
