CEBU CITY--Z "The Dream" Gorres will battle former world champion Vic Darchinyan in a 12-round final eliminator on February 2 in Cebu City.

This was confirmed today by Gorres' manager Michael Aldeguer, who informed in an interview with Philboxing.com minutes ago that they have already signed the contract also a while ago for the fight to take place in the Philippines.

"We're looking at a big venue like the Cebu City Sports Complex or the posh Waterfront Cebu City Hotel for the figh," stressed Aldeguer.

Darchinyan and his team had earlier vowed to bring the fight to Australia, but apparently, the consortium they had been talking about could not match the offer put forth by Aldeguer and his group.

"We were going to go to purse bids and bid for it, but after discussions the money is a huge factor as well, and we were made a very good offer,'' Elias Nasser, Darchinyan's manager, was quoted by Sportsnut as saying.

The young Aldeguer is set to meet with Cebu's media on Monday to address questions regarding the highly-anticipated February 2 bout.
