GENERAL SANTOS CITY ? Sen. Manny Pacquiao told the 62-year old ice cream vendor to thank God, not him, for the blessings that the latter had received in life.

?I am nothing. Everything comes from God. He is just using me to bless you,? Pacquiao told Marcelino Entia and his family during the dinner inside the boxer-lawmaker?s mansion Wednesday.

No member of the media was invited as Pacquiao hates publicity when he is helping the needy.

However, Bombo Radyo-Gensan reporters and the crew of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS) were there when the dinner between Pacquiao and Entia family took place.

Bombo Radyo-Gensan reporters accompanied the Entia family in going to the mansion while the KMJS crew came over to Gensan to do a story on the lucky ice cream peddler.

Marcelino was accompanied by his wife Ruby, 38, and their four children ? Joshua, 17; Jomarie, 16; Justin, 6; and Mary Joy, 4.

During the dinner, Pacquiao informed the Entia family that this coming Saturday their new house and lot located at Purok Quilantang, Calumpang Village, will be ready for occupancy.

?Starting this coming Saturday, you?ll be living at the Pacman Subdivision. The house is fully furnished and ready for occupancy. Everything was already provided -- water, light, furniture, etc,? Pacquiao told the Entia family.

Aside from a fully furnished house, the Entia family will also receive an additional amount from Pacquiao to start a small business.

Last Sunday, Pacquiao gave a total of P33,000 to the ice cream peddler upon learning of his miserable condition.

Despite being a stroke victim, Marcelino refuses to give up work to sustain his family.

Daily, amidst the scorching heat of the sun, he goes around the city to sell his stuff aboard a pedal-driven ice cream cart.

Yet, what he is earning is hardly enough to make both ends meet. His family continue to lead a hand-to-mouth existence.

Until one day, he met a man who changed the course of his life.

Entia couple was speechless in front of Pacquiao. Tears were rolling down their faces.

?I can?t believe this is happening to us. Manny Pacquiao is a gift from God,? Marcelino said in vernacular during the interview.

Pacquiao claimed he was touched by what he learned from the ice cream vendor.

?I used to peddle ice cream when I was a boy. This kind of work is not easy especially for a stroke victim like Manong Marcelino. Yet, despite life?s hardship, despite his difficult physical condition, he strives to earn fair and square,? Pacquiao said.
