"Indonesia Pride" is ready to thrill boxing fans this coming Sunday in Jakarta. In the main event, tough Ruben Manakane, 25, of Indonesia will defend his WBC Continental Asia Super Bantamweight Championship belt against 21-year old Thai challenger and former Muay Thai combatant Yutthichai Wannawong on May 13 at Mbrio Markas Caf? in West Jakarta, Indonesia.
Manakane claimed his Asian crown in September of last year, and now the Thai boxer wants it. Will Manakane be able to keep it?
The co-main event features Indonesian 126-pounder James Mokoginta making the second defense of his WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental Featherweight Title against true warrior Taweechai Juntarasuk of Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand.
Mokoginta -- who has ended five of his last six battles by way of knockout -- has promised to have the Thai fighter as his next scalp; and the two 27 year-old men can't wait to begin the trade of blows.
In women's action, unbeaten WBA Asia 118-lbs. queen Felmi Sumaehe will climb the ring to battle determined fight girl Anirut Nerndee of Rayong, Thailand.
In a welterweight combat, Indonesian Yosmar Kefi, 29, will square off 25 year-old Duang Hongin of Srisaket, Thailand.
Kefi has ravaged his last three opponents in brutal fashion.... and now Duang Hongqin is in his sight.
Will the tough-looking Kefi victimize the Thai boxer Duang as he has done to his prior foes... or will it be the other way around?
"We are excited about our boxing event "Indonesia Pride" here in Jakarta, Indonesia," said today the card's promoter Mr. Nelson Nainggolan.
Because fights between tough Asian boxers are always thrilling. Being warriors is in their blood. So this Sunday, boxing fans will enjoy non-stop fight action at Markas Mbrio Caf?."
