An explosive fight card is shaping up which will take place during the country's hosting of the WBC's 45th Annual Convention at the Manila Hotel this year.

The card, which will be headlined by the grudge rematch between Filipino Jimrex Jaca and Japan's Ryu Miyagi, will take place on November 14 at the Rajah Sulaiman Park in Manila.

The WBC Convention, which will be attended by hundreds of boxing personalities all over the world, takes place on November 11 through 17.

The Games and Amusements Board, headed by its chairman Eric Buhain, is the lead agency being tapped to oversee this year's hosting of the annual conclave.

Jaca versus Miyagi should be an explosive encounter, considering the nature of their first outing on August 25 at the SM Mall of Asia where both combatants exchanged knockdowns in the opening round before the fight was stopped in the second round due to an accidental clash of heads.

"This card is going to be every fight fan's dream show," said promoter Rex 'Wakee' Salud, who is helping put up this highly-anticipated card.

Also on tap are three Philippine title bouts, added Salud.

RP superfeatherweight champion Dodie Boy Agrabio will put his title on the line against top contender Aaron Melgarejo, a perennial sparring partner to superstar Manny Pacquiao.

RP superbantam champ Jake Verano of Bukidnon will also defend his title against Jun Talape in another exciting match-up.

Big boys Dondon Sultan and Arniel Tinampay, another Pacquiao sparmate, are also set to collide for the vacant RP welterweight title in the third championship bout for the night.

The grandson of the great Flash Elorde--Juan Martin 'Bai' Elorde--is also being slated to see action in a four-rounder, as well as Japanese Naozumi Tsuchiyama, who is making a name for himself for surmounting his physical handicap to trade leathers with able-bodied fighters.
