ONLY MYOPIC AND DIRTY-MINDED INJECT MALICE ON CORDIAL TALKS

IT WAS a cordial conversation without an iota of malice between fans and their idol.
But people with dirty minds and bad intention misconstrued it.
Is it bad to say ?hello? to or is it malicious to ask an avid fan ?Where are you from??
There was nothing bad even in saying ?You can call me anytime.?
If Sen. Manny Pacquiao was flirting, as claimed by some nasty-minded writers, he could have told the lady to call him up during a particular time when he is alone and nobody was listening.
The real story was ? a 22-year old American lady was live on Instagram when Pacquiao went online.
The lady, a certified Pacquiao fan, was thrilled even informing others online that the boxer-senator had joined them.
The American lass greeted the senator ?hello? and he just responded appropriately.
?My conscience is clear. I?m just being respectful and cordial. I have never turned down or snub any of my fan,? Pacquiao explained.
Without getting the side of Senator Pacquiao, one writer of a national daily picked up the reactions of netizens and even wrote that the senator?s fidelity was put into question.
?The writer was judgmental and so quick in making conclusion without first getting the real story behind. There was nothing malicious in my mind. However, I understand that this is now the sad state of the media industry. Responsible and credible journalists are becoming extinct nowadays,? Pacquiao said.
?May God forgive them for they know not what they are doing,? the boxing legend said.
Pacquiao made a 180-degree turnaround when he became a Christian in 2011.
Since then, his free time is spent either reading the Holy Bible or bonding with his wife and children.
He gave up mundane pleasures ? gambling, drinking, womanizing, etc. ? and pursued a renewed life.
Many doubted his transformation but he managed to prove, to all and sundry, that he?s capable of conquering his own self.
?I have found peace and contentment with God. I am determined to continue living the life of a Christian,? Pacquiao said.
He decried the narrow-mindedness and the tendency of some writers to sensationalize issues at the expense of other people.
?They are fond of making a mountain out of molehill without regard for the dignity and feelings of others. May God enlighten their minds,? Pacquiao said.
